Is there a short-term or long-term goal that you want to achieve in your life?

Getting higher accounting grade in final exam is my short-term goal. Long-term goal is working in the Public Agency. Accounting is not my strength, so I should pay more time to enhance it. Not only it's a professional subject in my major but it will be a advantage in my future job if I can find a correct way to improve it. First, I must be more focused in class. It's very basic but not easy actually, because sometime I will be inattentive or sleepy. Second, review after class is also important, too. Both of them is complementary to each other. Just step by step, I believe it will be working.

TED Talk- Inside the mind of a master procrastinator

The three keywords I learn from the talk

procrastination  n. (通常指因為無趣、沒有意思而)拖延

This is no time for procrastination - we need decisive action.

guilt  n.  內疚、愧疚、自責

He suffered such feelings of guilt over leaving his children.

epiphany  n. (對重要事物的)頓悟

read these emails and I had a little bit of an epiphany -- that I don't think non-procrastinators exist.

How Rational Decision-Maker, Instant Gratification Monkey and Panic Monster make our decisions.

The procrastination's brain has a Rational Decision-Maker, and also has an Instant Gratification Monkey.

The Rational Decision-Maker gives us the ability to do things no other animal can do.

In the Dark Playground isn't actually fun, because it's completely unearned, and the air is filled with guilt, dread, anxiety, self-hatred.

There is two kinds of procrastination, first is there's deadlines, the second kind in situation when there is no deadline.

If you can choose, do you prefer to work from home, or to work in the office with your colleagues?

I prefer to work from home. Because it's more comfortable to work at home. I don't need commuting to my workplace and the most important thing is I can sleep longer. My schedule is more flexible because I can use smartphone or computer to do my job any time and everywhere. It's very convenience, so I like to work from home.

They not only bring us convenience but also help our society more advanced. They can be utilized in various situation. For example, there is facial recognition system in my dormitory first floor. I need to use it if I want to go in. I feel relieved because it can prevent strangers going to interior. It’s safe for the students in there. Artificial Intelligence is indispensable for me. Theirs advantages are more than disadvantages.

Is technology harmful to you ?

My answer is yes, but not totally. I usually use computer and smartphone to watch Korea drama and play social media at my free time or commuting. But for a long time, it let me addicted to technology product and waste a lot of time on it. I need to pay more money for glasses because of more serious vision. It’s a little bad. So, I had to learn how to effectively use the time that spent on technology product just only on important thing and try to set up some app blockers from now on. It’s very convenience and useful because I can immediately get some information that I need, but just remember to control the time we use.
